The Flow Model, introduced by psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi in 1975, describes a mental state in which a person is fully immersed in an activity, characterized by intense focus and enjoyment of the process. In this state, individuals feel energized and completely absorbed, while their sense of time, self-awareness, and even physiological needs are temporarily diminished. Flow typically occurs when there is a perfect balance between the challenge of the task and one’s skill level—neither so easy as to cause boredom, nor so difficult as to provoke anxiety—resulting in profound enjoyment and fulfillment.
